Did you know? Prom is coming up! And you have a right to express your gender identity. Your school may be violating the law if it doesn’t allow a female student to wear a tuxedo or a male student to wear a dress.

Sunnyvale, CA-based artist Hoang Tran (previously featured here) continues to create so many awesome pop culture-based crayon sculptures that we can’t help but share some more. Last time we featured crayon sculptures of Adventure Time characters. Today we’re treated to carved and painted pieces from Doctor Who, Spirited away, Star Wars, Hellboy, The Sandman, and sweet little BMO (who was still a work in progress last time).

being a trans boy is hard, particularly if you’re femme, even slightly. being trans you are already held to higher standards of masculinity than your cisgender counterparts and any camp qualities or “feminine” clothes/makeup you might have will be used to prove or convince you that you’re a girl.
i’m trying to be comfortable enough in myself to exist as the fabulous, camp, and femme boy that i am without taking any notice of people who try to use that against me in a vain attempt to “prove” that i’m a girl.
